Chronic Pain Network: Changing the way pain is managed in Canada

The Chronic Pain Network (CPN) is a CIHR Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research funded network, that was launched in 2016. CPN is a pan-Canadian collaboration of patients, researchers, healthcare professionals, educators, industry, and government policy advisors aimed at directing new research in chronic pain, training researchers and clinicians, and translating findings into knowledge and policy. In 2022, CPN received additional funding to focus on the Knowledge Mobilization and Implementation Science (CPN KM-IS) of research in chronic pain. This presentation will provide a historical look at how pain research in Canada has changed in the past six years and what to expect from CPN moving forward.
